Hal Cruttenden will heading to Wareham as part of his 2025 tour, bringing with him a brand-new show that’s set to take a cheeky swipe at ‘The Man’—just as long as ‘The Man’ doesn’t strike back.
Diving into the chaos of modern life!
Armed with his trademark, hard-hitting humour (his words, not ours!), Hal dives headfirst into the chaos of modern life, from the perils of middle-aged dating and the grip of social media to the baffling world of contemporary politics.
He also reflects on family life, admitting that while his daughters certainly love him, the respect part is… questionable—and he’s fairly sure you’ll feel the same way by the end of the night.
Writer, actor and comedian
As one of the UK’s top stand-up comedians—as well as an accomplished writer and actor—Hal Cruttenden has built a reputation for razor-sharp wit, big laughs and brilliantly observed chaos. His comedy credentials are extensive, and his live shows consistently sell out across the country.

Hal is a familiar face on TV, having appeared multiple times on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, and The Royal Variety Performance. He’s also popped up on favourites including Bake Off: Extra Slice, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Would I Lie To You?, Pointless Celebrities, House of Games, and many more.
He even wrote and starred in his own Radio 4 sitcom, Hal, co-written with Dominic Holland.

A three-time Chortle Award nominee and a Perrier Newcomer nominee at the Edinburgh Fringe, Hal continues to cement his place among Britain’s comedy elite.
Beyond the Comedy Stage
Trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, Hal has enjoyed a varied acting career with roles in Shackleton, EastEnders, Kavanagh QC, Touching Evil, and the film Mrs Dalloway. His theatre work includes productions at the Edinburgh Festival and London’s Trafalgar Studios.
Up next, he takes on a major role as Winston Churchill in The Man with the Plan—a forthcoming film centred on William Beveridge and the creation of the modern welfare state, narrated by fellow comedian Mark Thomas and starring Simon Callow.
Hal’s ‘finest hour’
Commenting on the upcoming role and his new tour Hal joked that this be ‘my finest hour’ as he vowed to ‘fight hecklers and reviewers on the beaches, in the clubs and online’.
