Nestled within the dramatic outer bailey of the 11th-century Corfe Castle, the 2025 Food & Drink Festival returns for its second year on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July. A partnership between the National Trust and Love It Local, this free celebration (normal admission charges to the castle apply) invites food lovers to taste the region’s best produce against the backdrop of Purbeck’s iconic ruins.

A Feast of Local Flavours
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, stallholder enquiries are almost fully booked, with dozens of artisan producers from across Purbeck and South Dorset expected to attend. Expect freshly baked breads, artisan cheeses, charcuterie, and street-food vendors alongside sweet treats such as ice creams, jams and confectionaries. Local breweries, cider houses, and distillers will pour pints and spirits, while wine merchants showcase Dorset’s emerging vineyards.

Live Music & Family Fun
It wouldn’t be a festival without music: live performances will fill the inner ward across both days, curated in part by Purbeck Sounds Radio. Acoustic sets and roaming bands will bring the historic walls to life, creating a lively soundtrack to your culinary journey. Families can combine foodie adventures with castle exploration—ample space allows children to roam and discover the ruins safely.
What to Expect at the Stalls
Vendors will offer a superb mix of street food, drink stalls, sweet treats, and even dining-ware and arts & crafts stalls, perfect for taking a little piece of Purbeck home with you.
