📍 Location: Wareham Recreation Ground & Town Centre
Get ready for a fantastic weekend packed with family fun, live music, great food, and community spirit as Wareham Carnival returns! This year’s theme, “Your Natural World,” promises colourful costumes, creative floats, and a lively celebration for all ages.
🎶 Friday 17th July – Music Night
Kick off the carnival with an evening of high-energy entertainment:
- Live music from Rooster Band, bringing party vibes and three-part harmonies (from approx. 7:30pm)
- Food stalls and the ever-popular Carnival Bar
🎵 Saturday 18th July – Music Afternoon
Enjoy a relaxed afternoon of summer sounds and family fun:
- Wareham Town Band (12:00 – 2:30pm) – Brass on the Grass
- Live music with Lily Taylor (2:45 – 5:15pm)
- Food, Purbeck ice cream, and the Carnival Bar open throughout
🎉 Sunday 19th July – Carnival Day
The highlight of the weekend!
- 12:00pm: Procession entries assemble (North Causeway)
- 1:00pm: Carnival procession begins through town
- 2:00pm: Procession arrives at the Recreation Ground
- 2:30pm onwards: Arena events, stalls, street food, and entertainment
- Live music in the bar area featuring Jim Etherington
Expect vibrant floats, costumes, and plenty of fun as the parade winds through Wareham before the celebrations continue on the Recreation Ground.

Wareham Carnival hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including:
- Duck Races at Wareham Bridge
- Safari Supper quiz evenings
- Guided history walks around Wareham
- Traditional Flower Show at the Scout & Guide Hut
