Bringing timeless Jazz to local venues – Swing Easy Too!
Swing Easy Too is a stylish jazz and swing ensemble delivering relaxed, feel-good performances inspired by the Great American Songbook.
Their repertoire celebrates legendary artists including Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Doris Day, Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and many others, making their shows a treat for lovers of classic swing and jazz. The band are also well known locally for supporting community causes, often helping to raise funds for local charities through their performances.
The bands’ lead instrumentalist is Amanda Jensen (sax, clarinet, flute) with support from Bruce Evans (double bass, vocals) and Dave Marchant (guitar). Andrew Cannon leads the band on vocals and piano, having formed the Bournemouth band ‘Swing Easy’ in 2017 and this Purbeck-based band a little later (“Swing Easy Too”).
Regularly appearing at popular local venues such as Holme for Gardens, the Grand Hotel Swanage, the Mowlem Showbar and the Village Inn at Ulwell, the band has become a firm favourite on the live music scene in the Swanage area.
