Swanage Railway Celebrates 50 Years with Special Community Weekend
The Swanage Railway is marking a major milestone in 2026 as it celebrates 50 years since restoration work first began on the historic line — and the public is invited to join the celebrations at a special Community Weekend packed with exclusive experiences and behind-the-scenes access.

A Celebration of Heritage and Volunteers

“The special weekend is about opening our doors, celebrating 50 years of heritage and reminding the public that the Swanage Railway belongs to everyone… It’s also a valuable opportunity to shine a light on the volunteers who are at the heart of everything we do.”
