The 35th Swanage Jazz Festival returns for a spectacular weekend of world-class jazz by the sea.
Swanage | 10–12 July 2026
One of the UK’s most loved jazz festivals returns for its 35th year, bringing a spectacular weekend of live music to the Dorset coast.
Swanage Jazz Festival 2026 features an exciting mix of jazz legends, award-winning performers and rising stars, with a programme spanning everything from New Orleans jazz and swing to contemporary and soul-infused sounds.
This year’s festival celebrates the centenary of three jazz icons – Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Stan Tracey – with special performances honouring their remarkable musical legacies. Alongside these tributes, audiences can enjoy appearances from acclaimed artists including Greg Abate, Nigel Price, Jo Harrop, John Etheridge, Bill Bruford, Alan Barnes, Alex Clarke, Rob Luft and many more.
The popular New Orleans programme returns to Sandpit Field with a lively line-up of traditional jazz, swing and big band favourites, while venues across Swanage will host over 30 bands throughout the weekend.
Beyond the ticketed concerts, visitors can enjoy a free Festival Fringe in local pubs, hotels and clubs, performances from youth big bands, free Jazz Yoga sessions and a special jazz-themed Sunday church service.
With tickets available for individual concerts, day passes and full weekend access, Swanage Jazz Festival offers something for seasoned jazz fans and newcomers alike.
Whether you’re discovering jazz for the first time or returning for another year, this landmark festival promises world-class music in one of Dorset’s most beautiful seaside settings.
