Planet Purbeck’s Discovery Fest in Swanage
Planet Purbeck’s Discovery Fest returns to Swanage Seafront for a free, family-friendly celebration of Purbeck’s community, coast and countryside.
This free, family-friendly festival takes over the pedestrianised section of Shore Road, bringing together over 20 local charities, community groups, nature organisations and community projects. Expect live music, hands-on activities, wildlife and nature displays, demonstrations and plenty of friendly faces to chat to.
It’s a chance to discover the people and projects helping to make Purbeck a healthier, happier and more connected place – and perhaps find a fun way to get involved yourself.
The festival will also feature the Purbeck Marathon and Purbeck 16 registration desk, ahead of the return of these popular local events.
Following a successful 2025 event, which attracted more than 1,500 visitors and brought together over 35 organisations, Discovery Fest returns with even more to discover. So grab an ice cream, bring the family and head down to the seafront for a joyful celebration of all that makes Purbeck special.
