Go Dolphin Spotting at Durlston This National Marine Week!
Join wildlife experts for a chance to spot dolphins, whales and other amazing marine life along the Dorset coast.
Have you ever spotted a dolphin in the wild?
As part of National Marine Week, Dorset Wildlife Trust is inviting visitors to Durlston Country Park on Monday 27 July to take part in the National Whale and Dolphin Watch.
From one of Dorset’s best clifftop viewpoints, you’ll join wildlife experts to scan the sea for dolphins and other marine animals while learning how to spot the tell-tale signs of marine life offshore. You’ll also discover more about the different species of whales and dolphins that can be seen along the Dorset coast and how your observations contribute to a nationwide wildlife survey.
Suitable for all ages, this fascinating event is a wonderful opportunity to experience Dorset’s spectacular coastline while learning more about the incredible marine wildlife that lives just beyond the shore.
The watch takes place from 10am to 1pm, with all children required to be accompanied by an adult.
Please note that the event is weather dependent. If conditions are uncertain, contact The Fine Foundation Wild Seas Centre on 01929 481044 before travelling.
