Beginner’s basketry workshop with Woven Woodland
Over the course of the workshop, you’ll learn about the properties of willow, how to prepare and handle the materials, and traditional weaving patterns used in basketry and sculptural forms. This basket consists of a rectangular polish base with the addition of leather or driftwood handles. No prior experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and a pair of willing hands. All materials and tools are provided. There will be drinks and snacks, but do bring a pack lunch – weaving is hungry work!
